It sometimes seems the better place to get a trucking job in Virginia may be locally. Generally if you consider a locally based trucking company you may be able to be home more frequently if you are a truck driver. However if you are a non-driver then a trucking company with a location in Virginia makes sense.
In the US there will always be trucking jobs that need to be filled. Jobs for drivers of truck will never be able to be sent to some other location. Since this is the case jobs of this sort must stay here. Otherwise how would products get move? That just does not seem like a reality. However in a slow economy jobs may decrease overall until the economy picks up again. With reguard to the actually truck drivers it appears there is generally higher turnover then in some other fields.
